Make Up, including Day, Evening and Special Occasion Make Up
If you would like to offer a make-up service within a beauty salon or on a freelance basis, this course will cover all the basic skills required. This course is designed to teach you all the hygiene requirements to apply makeup to national standard level.
Course duration: 1 day plus 3 independent case studies with a further ½ day trouble shooting with a written and practical assessment.
Course price: £250.00
Entry requirement: A passion for the industry and willingness to learn.
Appearance: A professional tunic, flat closed in shoes with anti-slip soles. Hair tied back, no jewellery (except for a watch and a wedding band) and no nail polish or enhancements.
Qualification: Red Barn Training Certificate which allows you to obtain Public Liability insurance so you can start offering treatments to paying clients.
The Make Up course includes:
- Health, safety & hygiene
- Anatomy and Physiology of the head
- Consultation techniques
- Application of concealer, foundation, loose powder, eye shadow, eye liner pencil, mascara, blusher, lip liner and lipstick
- Day make-up
- Evening make-up
- Special occasion make-up
- Aftercare
Notes: To complete this course, students must be prepared to give and receive the treatment. If only one student is on the course, a model will need to be provided.
